interior-sanctuary-02Our Lady of the Mountains is a small but thriving parish in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains. The parish is a landmark of charity here in Pickens County, and a place where Catholics can come to share and express an authentic faith life in keeping with our ancient and rich tradition. We are unapologetically Catholic, and present the Gospel daily in our liturgies and in our parochial life. There are around 550 families that call OLM home; and there are many great ministries for folks to get involved in, and plenty of opportunities to volunteer. Above all else, this is a center of prayer in our community, where at least nine times a week the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is offered up for the glory of God, and for the sanctification of souls. Here we pray for not only ourselves, but for our world. We are proud to be Catholic, and to have the Blessed Virgin Mary as our parish patron. Let her prayer be our prayer too: “My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior!”
