Gracias a Todos!Screen Shot 2015-06-04 at 9.46.56 PM

Padre Byrd.  Viva Cristo Rey!

Thanks, Y’all!

I would like to thank all those who helped us host our first annual Cristeros Festival.  The event met and exceeded my every expectation.  It was such a joyful day with four or five traditional dance troops, the great mariachi band, the dozen “Cristeros” we had on horseback, our beautiful makeshift mission plaza festively adored with papel picado, and all the excellent food!  It was beautiful to see so many people dressed in traditional costumes, and it was great to see the Knights of Columbus (and the Women’s Guild and the Men’s Club) come together with our Hispanic Community to help transform our parish grounds into a little piece of old Mexico for an afternoon.  I loved seeing the children play together in the bouncy house, and it is always great to see our parish come together, and share our rich Catholic cultures.  It was such a joyful day, and while it stormed north, south, east, and west of us, we should thank God for the miracle of having such a lovely day.  Thank you all for such a beautiful, happy, joyful day.  Father Byrd.  Viva Cristo Rey!
